Core consulting team members are all highly experienced and qualified coaches, each with distinctive specialisms. The team is led by Kate (CEO) and Ian Buckingham (Strategy and Consultancy Partner).

Kate Hargreaves

Founder and CEO

Kate is a highly experienced, qualified, skilled and intuitive executive coach and management consultant focused on sustainable outcomes and recognised as the go to name for people development in the North East. She creates safe spaces quickly, guiding people to engage in the conversations that really matter, empowering and motivating teams to commit and take action towards the attainment of collective goals and ambitions from a position of clarity and well-being.

While raising a family and charting a successful development path at the sharp end of management and leadership development, Kate completed her professional qualifications, including an MBA and a Post Graduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education and Training, at Northumbria University’s highly regarded Newcastle Business School.

Kate is an accomplished network builder, Events Organiser and Contributor for the Association for Coaching for whom she also runs co-coaching sessions. She is a proud Trustee of the West End Women and Girls Centre (WEWGC), a charity aimed at tackling gender inequality and the disenfranchisement of women and girls locally, nationally and globally.

Kate has oversight of all Mosaic clients and programmes and leads on many, ranging from developing coaching capability through to leadership development and developing sustainable culture change.

Ian P Buckingham

Strategy and Consultancy Partner

Ian’s consultancy and coaching pedigree spans corporate, agency and interim roles at senior leadership levels for high profile organisations in a range of sectors.

He is our lead strategist and was the founding MD of Omnicom’s London, New York-and mainland Europe-based Interbrand Inside. He also has strong ties to Nottingham and Leicester University’s MBA and growth strategy programmes.

A writer of some renown, Ian is People Management Magazine’s HR fixer. He has authored two business books that are based on case studies he has been responsible for driving and which explore the intersection between the people disciplines (OD, especially coaching, leadership development, stakeholder engagement and culture change) and brand or reputation management. Although he was exploring the importance of walking the talk long before many, this pivot remains Ian’s sweet spot.

A strong believer in holistic coaching, the development of systems and the link between individual and corporate accountability, as well as being an accomplished leadership coach he is our communications, engagement and change specialist. Not afraid to roll up his sleeves when required, the clients and teams he’s represented have won various accolades for innovation and results focus.

Very much a values-driven consultant, Ian has a particular interest in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion at work and at home as everything and everybody benefits, especially the bottom line. With Mosaic and elsewhere, Ian has partnered with UK and international clients largely drawn from the CEO’s office, HR, Marcomms and Change functions to help them evolve sustainably.

His clients include organisations as complex as Tarmac, BP and Shell through to other heavy industries, most of the UK banking names, numerous government, public, education and third sector organisations as well as the NHS and healthcare brands.

Mary is also an accomplished well-being practitioner, specialising in the use of sound as a therapeutic and developmental catalyst.

Iain’s career in the leadership and people aspects of organisation life has spanned the military and police forces (including a proud stint serving the Royal Family); NHS and counter-fraud services and a variety of sectors. A skilled, creative and personable group coach and facilitator, he’s also a passionate charity campaigner and project leader for several high-profile causes.

An experienced Coach, Organisational Development Practitioner and Leadership and Management Practitioner with over two decades of frontline leadership experience.

Sandra Sampson

Leadership Coach

A leadership coach and people-centred change agent with considerable cross-sector depth and breadth, Sandra is also a wellbeing and mental health counsellor and L&D practitioner of enviable repute.

Bobbi Temple

OD Consultant

Bobbi has significant frontline HR experience in the private sector and is well versed in the workaday realities of the internal change agent. Her deep expertise is in L&D, but she’s a versatile HR generalist and excellent stakeholder and project manager at the heart of Mosaic.
